Somerset Achieves Prestigious STEM Certification

The Independent and Private School Forum Congratulates Somerset Academy on Achieving STEM Certification through COGNIA

[Toronto, Canada] – The Independent and Private School Forum (https://ipsf.ca/) is proud to announce that one of its member schools, Somerset Academy, has received STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) certification through COGNIA, a leading agency that provides accreditation and certification services to educational institutions.. The Forum congratulates Somerset Academy on this outstanding achievement.

Somerset Academy has always been committed to providing a well-rounded education that prepares students for the challenges of the future. Their STEM program has been emblematic of its commitment to providing students with future-ready skills and experiences. At Somerset Academy, a variety of clubs, activities and STEM learning opportunities are offered. Students are encouraged to explore these topics with a commitment to scientific investigation and creativity.  

To achieve this certification, Somerset Academy underwent a rigorous certification inspection process that included an on-site visit by COGNIA representatives. The evaluation team reviewed the school’s curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices in STEM subjects, and interviewed faculty, staff, and students to gain a deeper understanding of the school’s approach to STEM education.
