Ms. Jacquelyn Ogalino is a secondary school English teacher at Seneca Hill Private School and recipient of the IPSF Excellence in Teaching Award (Secondary Division). Ms. Ogalino is an accomplished educator who intertwines creative lessons with engaging inquiry based activities for her students. She is dedicated to helping students achieve success and continually strives to push her students to see the relevance and application of their work in school. Ms. Dori Hart is an elementary teacher at Seneca Hill Private School and recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award for elementary grades. Ms. Dori’s hard work and dedication to her students is visible through her engaging lessons, and constant availability to her students and parents. Her success in positive collaboration with her colleagues and integration of technology into her classroom, are more reasons why she has been recognized for this award. Congratulations, Ms. Dori!
The Independent and Private School Forum (IPSF) supports our member schools in building capacity by promoting knowledge and understanding of current trends in education and in superior teaching practices. The IPSF Award Committee has established two awards that will be distributed annually at our June IPSF meeting. One award will be given to an elementary teacher and one to a secondary teacher. Each individual must demonstrate excellence in innovation and creativity at his/her school and should be a model of excellence in every aspect of their professional teaching.
We ask that all Principal/School Owners submit, with this application, a minimum of two reference letters to explain why this teacher is an ideal candidate for the IPSF excellence in teaching award. These reference letters may come from a parent, student, a fellow teacher or school administrator. If you would like to nominate one of your teachers for this award please complete this application, attach all reference letters and return it by March 15, 2018 to firstname.lastname@example.org
